Len Bjork
From Toni Martinazzi's Journal:
Sunday - 5/4/80 - Little Norway to Sorenson's Overlook Resort

Ate breakfast at the Little Norway restaurant. Wonderful food but really slow. The owners are Hungarian and certainly charming people. We got a late start and took plenty of time to get to Sorenson's Resort. This is in the middle of no where just past Luther Pass. It was a long day - around 18-19 miles. Went through a four foot drift of snow. Len Bjork, who joined us at Folsom, left today to return to his home in Palo Alto. I walked with him in the afternoon and he is a very interesting fellow. He may return toward the end of May and bring his daughter.

Len Bjork, sometime after HikaNation
After HikaNation, Toni Martinazzi remembers climbing Mt. Washington in
New Hampshire with Len Bjork, Shirley Hearn, and Joe Shute.
And Shirley Jones Hearn recalls, Len was a wonderful person. We did many hikes together including hiking rim-to-rim of the Grand Canyon, the Chilkoot Trail in Alaska and trying (unsuccessfully) twice to climb Mt. Whitney in California. Those are wonderful memories for me.
