Gosser Ridge evening campsite

From William Ewart's journal:

Game Warden sleeping in his car tonight for our protection!!! People camping away from the roads and "out of bottle range" although none have been thrown yet. Kentucky's getting to be very unfriendly. People won't open their doors for Monty whn he asks them for permission for campsites on open fields. Again people telling us we're lucky not to be going through Harlan.

Joe Shute distributed newly received tents for several of us. Yea - now my stuff is all spread out - lots of room!!! But 4 problems with it quickly noticed - 2 left panels next to the door are loose and my bents are bigger and the outer one looks like it might collect water. Some problem with the fly too. Aggravating. Will have Joe check the tent out before leaving tomorrow.

Steering Committee vs Monty on several matters -- to add later
